There is quite a lot of talk of going green these days. People are looking for the best ways to preserve the environment against the threats of pollution and big industry output. So essentially your effort is not only making the world itself more preserved and healthier, but all those living within it. This would obviously include you as well.
In many cases, doing good things for others is a means of therapy for people. This helps them to appreciate their value in the world and the impact their actions can have on others in a positive way. With this in mind, giving a widespread gift to the world by committing to protect and restore it. This would have a big psychological impact on you, and make you feel better about your life and have a happier disposition in general. Happiness can help reduce stress and anxiety, which can be very detrimental to your health.
Steps Towards Health
Many people who are legitimately interested in going green are also interested in reducing their carbon footprint. What this generally means is limiting the use of the vehicle that they use or own. With this being the case with many of those adopting a green lifestyle, the alternative means of getting from point A to point B are generally healthier options. Consider choosing to ride a bike to the market in lieu of taking the vehicle. You would eliminate emissions from your vehicle and get a nice workout for your effort as well.
Green living is all about the lack of harmful additives, sprays and pesticides on fruits and vegetables. With this in mind, there is a lot of research to suggest that organic vegetables and fruit options can be much better for your body. In addition to this point, it is better for the earth, rivers and streams around the farms and orchards where these items are grown.
Of course these are only a few of the ways that green living is healthy living as well. There are likely several other connections that could be made, but this should give you a good starting point. Essentially, going green can be good for the environment that you are apart of, but it can be nearly equally good for you as well.
